English Version

Sefa-utaki in Nanjo, Okinawa, is said to be a place where unusual things have happened—one rumor claims that cameras have suddenly stopped working there.

The site is also said to have been used for rituals during the 15th and 16th centuries. Perhaps it was chosen because people believed the area held especially strong spiritual power.

Location: 539 Kudeken, Chinen, Nanjo City, Okinawa Prefecture.

Sefa-utaki is a sacred cultural site, so visitors should follow all posted rules, stay on permitted paths, and treat the area with respect.
