Meitsu Tunnel is said to be haunted by the ghosts of a young couple.
According to local rumors, a young couple once attempted suicide here by setting themselves on fire. After that, the area was reportedly linked to a string of disturbing incidents, including the discovery of the dismembered bodies of a young woman and a boy, as well as cases of women going missing.
The tunnel is located near Aoki Pass, an area also rumored to have seen repeated suicides over the years.
Location: Tojo, Chikuhoku Village, Higashichikuma District, Nagano Prefecture.
If you visit the area, do so only from safe, legal public roads, avoid going alone at night, and do not enter restricted or dangerous places.
