English Version

Senaga Island is located in Tomigusuku City, Okinawa Prefecture. Although it is known today as a coastal destination, there are also local rumors of unsettling encounters connected to the island.

According to these stories, some people claim to have seen the spirit of a person who died by self-immolation, as well as the ghost of an elderly person. The area is also said to include a spiritual place associated with going when someone has passed away.

It is rumored that, in the past, there were many suicides there, and that numerous skeletal remains were found. These accounts remain local rumors rather than confirmed sightseeing information, but they contribute to Senaga Island’s darker reputation among those interested in Okinawa’s haunted places.

If you visit, stay in public areas, respect local residents and sacred sites, and avoid entering restricted or unsafe places.
