English Version
Hedo Cape is one of Okinawa’s most famous scenic spots, known for its dramatic ocean views at the northern tip of the main island. At the same time, it has also gained a darker reputation.
According to local rumors, visitors have reported blood-like handprints appearing on car windows, and some say strange images can show up in photographs taken there. These stories are often treated as ghostly rumors rather than confirmed events, but they add an unsettling atmosphere to an otherwise breathtaking location.
Sadly, the area is also known as a place associated with suicides. If you visit, be respectful, stay on safe paths, avoid dangerous cliff edges, and do not go exploring in unsafe conditions or restricted areas.
Location: 973-9 Hedo, Kunigami Village, Kunigami District, Okinawa Prefecture.
