Tokiwa Park’s former youth lodging area in Ube, Yamaguchi Prefecture, is tied to a number of unsettling stories.
According to local rumors, there was once an incident in which several elementary school students staying overnight there became almost hysterical and began acting violently. It is also said that a straw curse doll was found nailed to a nearby tree.
Another story claims that elementary school students visiting on a school excursion discovered the body of a person who had died by hanging. In a separate incident, unidentified skeletal remains were reportedly found in the area—and these, too, were said to have been discovered by elementary school children.
The facility is now closed, but it was once used as a place for overnight school trips and local events. Some say it was eventually shut down because suicides occurred there repeatedly.

かつて宿泊していた複数の小学生が半狂乱になって暴れたという事があった。近くの木にはワラ人形が打ちつけられているとも言われている。遠足で訪れた小学生が首吊り死体を見つけるという事件があった。ほかにも白骨化した身元不明の遺体が発見されており、これも小学生による発見であった。現在は閉鎖されているがかつては遠足や地域のイベントなどで宿泊地として利用されていた。しかし度々自殺事件が起きたため閉鎖される事となったようだ。この地に一体何があったというのだろうか。
