Hotel Hakubi: A Rumored Haunted Love Hotel Ruin in Okayama

Can You Control Your Dreams? How to Encourage Better Sleep and Fewer Nightmares

English Version

Hotel Hakubi is said to be an abandoned love hotel in Soja City, Okayama Prefecture, near Kiyone Kochi along Prefectural Route 24.

There have been reports of ghost sightings here, but according to local rumors, the more immediate danger may be human. Some accounts claim that homeless people have stayed in or around the ruins, making it a risky spot in more than one sense.

The hotel is believed to have operated for many years before closing around 2000. What was once a bright, busy place for people has reportedly become the opposite in its abandoned state: quiet, lonely, and dimly unsettling.

As with any abandoned property, do not enter the site without permission. Ruins can be structurally unsafe, and trespassing may be illegal. If you are interested in the area, view it only from a safe, public location and be respectful of nearby residents and roads.
