Uzushio Kanko Building: A Rumored Haunted Ruin in Onomichi, Hiroshima

Was the Garden of Eden in Aomori? Japan’s Strange Mayogahei Legend
目次

English Version

At night, according to local rumors, the ghost of a man is said to appear hanging from the gondola rail on the roof of the abandoned Uzushio Kanko Building.

The site is a ruined former commercial building in Onomichi, Hiroshima Prefecture. When it was still in business, the structure was reportedly more than twice its current size. After it closed, parts of the building were demolished, leaving it in the reduced form seen today.

The location is listed as 2900 Sanba-cho, Onomichi, Hiroshima Prefecture. As with any abandoned property, do not enter the building or trespass. Conditions may be dangerous, and visitors should only view the area from public, legally accessible places.
