In front of Nagareyama City Hall in Chiba Prefecture is the site of a former execution ground known as Hichiyama, a name often interpreted as “Blood-Splatter Hill.”
The area is currently off-limits, but rumors say that drifting spirits have been seen wandering beyond the gate. One reported account describes a ghostly figure resembling a long-faced man with bloodshot eyes, glimpsed through the gap between a pair of double doors and the surrounding stone wall.
According to local legend, a large execution ground stood here until the Meiji era. It is said that so many criminals were put to death there—and so much blood was spilled—that the place came to be called Hichiyama.
The site is associated with the area around 1-264 Nagareyama, Nagareyama City, Chiba Prefecture. Because the grounds are closed to the public, visitors should not attempt to enter. If you go, view the area only from legal public spaces and be respectful of nearby residents and city facilities.

流山市役所前にある刑場跡。現在は立ち入り禁止ですが、門の向こう側をさまよう浮遊霊が目撃されています。観音開きの門と石の外壁の隙間から目の血走った顔の長い男らしき霊見たという体験をした人がいるよう。明治時代まで大きな処刑場があり、数多くの罪人の血が飛んだことから「飛血山」と呼ばれている。千葉県流山市流山1-264
