English Version

Kaimon Tunnel is a narrow road tunnel in Ibusuki, Kagoshima, said to have an eerie atmosphere from the moment you reach its entrance.

According to local rumors, if you see a woman’s face through one of the small holes in the tunnel ceiling, you may get into an accident on the way home. Other stories mention strange signs left inside cars, such as a wet back seat or mysterious handprints.

The tunnel is only wide enough for one vehicle, which adds to its unsettling feeling. It is also still in active use today, so anyone visiting should be careful, avoid stopping in unsafe places, and respect local traffic conditions.
