Kubizaki Lighthouse is rumored to be haunted by the spirit of a man who died by self-immolation, as well as the ghost of a woman dressed in a kimono.
The lighthouse is also said to be known locally as a suicide spot, and bodies have reportedly been found in the nearby waters.
It is located in Sanriku-cho Okirai, Ofunato City, Iwate Prefecture. If you visit the area, stay on public roads and marked paths, avoid cliffs and rough coastal conditions, and follow all local signs and restrictions.
