Looking Back at the Anunnaki Theory
So far in this series, we have compared several strange threads: traces left on ancient Sumerian clay tablets, Zecharia Sitchin’s controversial interpretations, later Babylonian myths that preserve the Anunnaki as gods, and the mystery of the so-called missing link in human evolution.
The idea we have been examining is not that the Anunnaki are proven historical beings, but that some legends and speculative theories describe them as multiple extraterrestrial entities who may have become involved with humanity as “gods.”
From this comparison, several points stand out.
First, the Anunnaki are indeed remembered as divine beings in traditions from ancient Sumer to later Babylonian myth. Second, there are still unresolved questions in the study of human evolution, including differences in genetics and the exact reasons certain evolutionary changes occurred. Third, the period in which Sitchin claimed the Anunnaki created humanity roughly overlaps with the academically studied period of modern human development.
When people hear the phrase “the creation of humanity,” they may imagine humans being produced from nothing. But if we try to interpret the idea more realistically, it may be closer to saying that modern humans emerged through a specific stage in the evolutionary process.
Here is another point worth considering. According to Sitchin’s claims, when the Anunnaki came down to Earth, they created humans as slaves or laborers to mine gold. In Sumerian and Akkadian myth, however, Enki of the Anunnaki is said to have created humans as a labor force in place of the lesser gods known as the Igigi.
In both versions, humans are placed inside a structure of rule and labor. But the details of that power structure are slightly different. Doesn’t it feel as if an important question is hiding there?
Were Religion and Scripture Altered by the Anunnaki?
According to one theory, Anunnaki influence may extend into religions and mythologies around the world. This is, of course, a speculative idea. But religion has often been used politically throughout history.
Christianity, for example, began as a movement within Judaism. It was persecuted for a time, and Jesus was crucified at Golgotha under the belief that he posed a danger to the state. Yet by 380 CE, Christianity was recognized as the state religion by Rome, the very empire that had once persecuted it.
Today, the separation of religion and government is widely accepted in many countries. But in Japan, works such as the Nihon Shoki and Kojiki connect the imperial line to the heavenly descent of divine ancestors. In that sense, religion and myth have long been used to unify nations, divide people, justify persecution, and support independence. Even now, conflicts in the Middle East continue to involve Jerusalem, a sacred city to multiple religions.
But what if these religions were not passed down in their original form?
Rulers have often tried to control public feeling through religion. To do that, they usually choose either persecution or acceptance. If religious traditions were altered through earthly rulers in ways convenient to the Anunnaki, then their shadow might still appear even in the era after the Common Era began.
There is also a claim connected to the Katakamuna documents. If it were true that Ashiatouan, described as the last chief of the Katakamuna clan, was destroyed by the Tenson clan, then the Nihon Shoki could be seen as a history created by the Tenson clan and the Anunnaki behind them. In that case, religious preaching or faith itself may have been shaped in a way that benefited rulers and allowed them to influence the people of that land—in this case, Japan.
Similar patterns can be found in Buddhism and many other religions, whether polytheistic or monotheistic. Many traditions describe good and evil among divine beings. Lucifer, the famous “morning star” often associated with the devil, is said to have once been an angel closest to God. In Greek myth, the struggle between Zeus and the Olympian gods and the Titans is a war among relatives.
What many myths share is the appearance of an absolute justice—though even that idea deserves questioning—and a force of evil that opposes it. One possible interpretation is that these stories preserve memories of conflicts among branches of the Anunnaki themselves in the distant past of Earth.
Were the Weapons of the Gods Ancient Alien Technology?
If we follow that line of thought, the weapons and powers said to belong to the gods may have been the weapons of ancient extraterrestrials.
After all, gods are often said to dwell not on the ground, but in the sky: heaven, Olympus, Takamagahara, and other celestial realms. Why did humans come to assume that gods were above them in the first place?
If the people who created these myths were simply describing what they saw, then the answer may have been the sky—or even outer space.
Sudden Leaps in Civilization
Across the world, not only in Japan, civilizations sometimes seem to develop in multiple places almost simultaneously, as if by synchronicity.
Looking far back before the Common Era, some researchers have argued from fossil and archaeological evidence that modern human culture developed rapidly around 50,000 years ago. This is connected to what is sometimes called the “Great Leap Forward” debate. Before that point, human culture did not exactly move backward, but it progressed slowly. Afterward, clear signs of intelligence and invention appear in burial practices, clothing, hunting techniques, and other areas.
The debate centers on the speed of that progress. The material and fossil record appears to show a major difference between what came before and what came after.
Around the beginning of the Common Era, Emperor Guangwu achieved one of the few broad unifications in Chinese history. In Rome, the empire later grew enormously under rulers including Nero, remembered as a tyrant. In Japan, 2,000 years ago corresponds to the Yayoi period. When we consider that the King of Na in Wa appears in Chinese historical records from this era, it shows how advanced the cultural level of surrounding regions already was. Himiko, by comparison, belongs to the period about 1,800 years ago, during China’s Three Kingdoms era.
The speed of these developments feels very different from the deep ancient past. In modern times, the speculation goes even further. There is an urban legend that during the Cold War Apollo program, when the United States reached the Moon, astronauts encountered extraterrestrials on the far side and obtained advanced knowledge from them.
Today, if you search reports of UMA or mysterious creatures around the world, you will not find common eyewitness claims of people seeing “Anunnaki.” But what if the Anunnaki moved from Earth to the Moon? Some might even speculate that the beings inside the unidentified aerial phenomena discussed in recent years by the U.S. Navy are actually Anunnaki.
The Mystery of Princess Kaguya
One of Japan’s most famous folktales is also one of its strangest from an occult and science fiction perspective: the story of Princess Kaguya.
Everyone in Japan has heard some version of it. A tiny girl is found inside a bamboo stalk. She grows into a beautiful young woman. In the end, she returns to the Moon.
But think about that carefully. The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter is often called Japan’s oldest narrative tale, and yet it contains the concept of a being from another world. The text itself says that Princess Kaguya is a resident of the Moon. In other words, she is an extraterrestrial figure.
The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter is thought to have taken shape around the 9th century and is referenced in The Tale of Genji. At that time, Japan was in the Heian period. Even if astronomy had developed in other countries, the idea of a person from another celestial body seems unusually advanced for an ordinary folk narrative.
Where Are the Anunnaki Now?
Throughout this series, we have looked for points of connection between the Anunnaki and the mystery of the missing link in evolution. After hearing these ideas, what do you think?
And if the Anunnaki existed in some form, where would they be now?
Their supposed home planet, Nibiru, is said in some theories to have been shattered long ago. If the Anunnaki were hiding somewhere inside a celestial body such as Earth or the Moon, we would have no easy way to know.

ここで少し考えておきたいところはセガリア・シッチンによる主張では地球に降りた時に金の採掘のために人間を奴隷や労働力として創造したと言っています。しかし、シュメール神話やアッカド神話に登場したアヌンナキのエンキは「イギギ」と呼ばれていた小さな神々の代わりに労働力として人間を創造したとされており、この「支配構造」という点においては若干の差があるのです。ここに重要な問題が隠されているような気にならないでしょうか？。アヌンナキによって聖書や宗教が改変された？
。。一説によれば、アヌンナキによる支配は世界中の宗教や神話に及ぶとまでいわれています。宗教は時に、政治的に利用されてきた歴史があることをご存知でしょうか？。例えばキリスト教はもともとはユダヤ教の一派でしたが、一時的に迫害され国に害があるという気運からイエスはゴルゴダの丘で磔にされました。しかし、時代が進んで紀元380年にはキリスト教を主に迫害していたローマによって国教として認められることになります。現在では政教分離という概念が定着していますが、日本の「日本書紀」や「古事記」において天孫降臨が神からの一族である天皇家に続くように、国をまとめるという意味で宗教は分離、迫害、独立を続けており、今もなお紛争のある中東などでは宗教的聖地であるエルサレムを巡っての戦争が起こっています。
しかし、これらの宗教が本来の形で伝わっていなかったとしたらどうでしょうか？。時代の権力者は宗教を背景に人心掌握を試みます。そのために必要なことは迫害と受け入れのいずれかです。これがアヌンナキの都合の良いように権力者を通じて改変されてきたとしたら、西暦が立てられた以降の時代にもアヌンナキの影が見え隠れするのです。また、カタカムナ文献で記載されたアシアトウアンというカタカムナ一族の最後とあれる総領が「天孫一族」に滅ぼされたという事が事実であれば、史書として扱われている日本書紀は「天孫一族とその背景にいたアヌンナキ」によって作られた歴史であり、権力者にとって都合の良い布教、あるいは信仰心を作り上げてその土地（この場合は日本）の人々を操っていたのかもしれません。
同様に仏教、その他の宗教でも多神教や一神教を問わず、神々の中でも善と悪を描かれているものも多数残されています。悪魔としても有名なあの明けの明星ことルシファーも、もともとは神にもっとも近かった天使だったと言われています。さらにオリンポスの神々に描かれる最高神ゼウス達とタイタン族との争いは肉親同士の争いです。神話において共通するのは絶対的な正義（まずここに疑問がありますが）とそれに対抗する悪の勢力が必ずと言って良いほど登場するのです。つまり、これはアヌンナキ達の一族が遥か昔の地球において一族同士で戦いを起こしたことの記録だとも考えられます。
こうなると、神々の持つと言われるいわゆる武器や操っているものは「古代宇宙人の兵器」だったのかもしれません。現にいわゆる神がいるとされるのは決まって天上界やオリンポス、高天ヶ原など、いわゆる地上ではなく空中だとされています。そもそも、何故空中に神がいるという前提になったのでしょうか？。仮に神話を創った人類が見た景色をそのまま描写しているとすれば、それはすなわち空や宇宙以外にありません。急速な文明の発達と進歩。。日本に限らず、世界ではシンクロニシティのように多発的に文明が進歩することがあります。
紀元前にで言えば約5万年前、現生人類の文明は急速に発展したと化石などの調査から判明しているそうです。これは偉大な飛躍論争と言われており、それまでは後退こそしなかったものの、ゆっくりと進んでいた文明が、なぜか5万年前以降になると、死者の埋葬や衣服制作、狩猟の方法などに明らかな”知恵と工夫”が加わっていると指摘されている問題です。論争になっているのは、その文明の進歩のスピードであり、明らかにそれまで、それ以降と判断出来るような大きな違いが現在残されてる化石史料などからは発見されています。
また、西暦が幕を開けた頃には、光武帝が中国史上数少ない全土の統一を果たし、ローマではその後、暴君で知られるネロが強大な帝国を築いています。ちなみに、日本の2000年前と言えば「弥生時代」です。中国の史書に始めて登場する 倭の奴国王がこの時代であることを考えると、海外の文化水準が如何に高かったのかを証明しています。（ちなみに、卑弥呼の時代は約1800年前の中国三国時代です） 。これらの進歩のスピードは明らかに古代とは異なっており、さらに近代になると冷戦時代のアポロ計画においてアメリカ合衆国がアポロで月に行った際に月面の裏で異星人と会っており、高度な文明知識を得たという都市伝説のような話まであります。
現在、世界中のUMA情報などを探しても「アヌンナキ」を見たという目撃例などはありません。もし、アヌンナキが地球から月へ移動していればどうでしょうか？近年、米海軍が報告方法を認めた（未確認飛行物体）に乗っているのは実はアヌンナキ達だという可能性もあります。かぐや姫の謎。日本の童話でありながら、最強にオカルト&SFチックな物語がかぐや姫です。竹の中から生まれた女の子はやがて美しい娘へと成長しますが、最後は月へ帰るという誰もが一度は聞いたことのある話です。
しかし考えてみてください。正式名称「竹取物語」は日本最古の物語と言われながら、なぜか異星人という概念が存在しているのです。（かぐや姫が月の住人であることは竹取物語にも記されています。つまり宇宙人。）。竹取物語の成立は紀元9年頃、源氏物語の中で始めて生まれた話であり、当時日本は「平安時代」です。いくら諸外国の文明に天文学が発達していたと言えども、異星人という発想は通常ではなし得ない領域だと考えられます。最後に。アヌンナキは今どこにいるのか？
。ここまで、アヌンナキと進化論におけるミッシングリンクなどを辻褄を見つけながら紹介してみましたが、皆さんはこれらを知ってどう考えるのでしょうか？。また、現在の地球においてアヌンナキは一体どこへ行ったのでしょうか？アヌンナキの母星と言われたニビルは遥か昔にこなごなになったと言われています。地球や月といった天体の中にアンヌナキが潜んでいても我々に知るよしはないのです
