English Version

This railroad crossing in Obu City, Aichi Prefecture, is rumored to be a haunted spot where photos sometimes capture large numbers of mysterious orbs.

According to local stories, there was once a period when accidents reportedly happened at the crossing every Saturday. A Jizo statue is also said to have stood nearby, but it has since been removed.

Some say the orbs are the lingering resentment of people who died by suicide, still wandering the world in visible form. Of course, these are only rumors, and there is no way to confirm what appears in the photographs.

The location is said to be around 1-chome, Chuocho, Obu City, Aichi Prefecture. If you visit, treat it as an active railroad area: never enter the tracks, do not stop on or near the crossing, and be respectful of local residents and traffic.
