Visitors have reportedly described seeing the spirit of a woman floating in the air. Others claim that, while driving down the mountain, they felt as if something was chasing their car.
Some people connect these rumors to darker incidents associated with the area, including a murder and body-dumping case, as well as reports of frequent suicides. Whether those events are truly related to the ghost stories is unclear, but they have added to Haigamine’s unsettling reputation.
If you visit, go during safe conditions, avoid stopping in dangerous roadside areas, and be respectful of local residents and anyone affected by real tragedies connected to the location.
