Karuizawa Ohashi Bridge is widely known in Japanese ghost-spot circles as a suicide location, and it is also said to have been the site of many accidents.
To prevent people from jumping, spikes and barbed wire have reportedly been installed along the railings. Even so, the stories say that the deaths have not stopped.
Local rumors warn that you should not turn off your car engine while on the bridge. Another warning says not to pass through the torii gate of a nearby shrine often called Tengu Shrine. According to the legend, breaking these taboos may bring a curse or lead to an accident.
In 2017, two female high school students reportedly died after jumping from the bridge. Some people still wonder whether the place continues to draw troubled people toward it.
The bridge is located at 379-59 Shigezawa, Miyota-machi, Kitasaku-gun, Nagano Prefecture. It is a real road bridge, so if you visit, do not stop in dangerous areas, climb barriers, enter restricted spaces, or interfere with traffic. Treat the site with care and respect.

有名な自殺の名所。事故も多い。自殺防止の為、欄干に棘と有刺鉄線が張られているが、自殺者は後を絶たない。橋の上で車のエンジンを切っていはいけない、近くにある神社(天狗神社)の鳥居をくぐってはいけない、と言われており、これを破ると、呪われたい、事故を起こすなどと言われているという。2017年にも女子高生二人が飛び降り自殺をしているとのこと。今だに自殺者を呼び寄せているとでも言うのだろうか。長野県北佐久郡御代田町茂沢379-59 軽井沢大橋
