CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, is the world’s largest particle physics laboratory. In July 2012, it made global headlines for the discovery of the so-called “God particle,” the Higgs boson. Officially, CERN conducts experiments to unlock the mysteries of matter.
But CERN has also attracted a long shadow of rumors. Is it creating black holes? Is it trying to connect with higher dimensions or another reality? Some people wonder whether CERN’s real purpose is something far stranger than science alone.
CERN and Black Holes
To understand the rumors, it helps to know what CERN’s experiments involve.
CERN operates the Large Hadron Collider, or LHC: a circular tunnel built about 175 meters underground, with a circumference of roughly 27 kilometers. Inside it, electromagnetic fields accelerate particles to about 99.7% of the speed of light. Those nearly light-speed particles are then smashed head-on into each other, and scientists observe what happens when they break apart.
The Higgs boson was discovered through this kind of experiment.
But some scientists and critics have warned that these collisions could create tiny black holes. Around CERN, darker rumors have also spread online, ranging from occult accusations to claims that the lab is repeating dangerous experiments.
Are Black Holes Dangerous?
So what would be wrong with creating a black hole in an experiment?
There are many theories. Some say that a small black hole would disappear almost instantly and pose no danger. Others claim it could pull in extraterrestrial meteorites, or even absorb and compress the Earth. The range of speculation is wide.
CERN has officially stated that black holes of this kind cannot be created in the way some people imagine, and that even if microscopic black holes did appear, they would vanish immediately. Still, skeptics ask: if no one has ever created one before, can anyone truly predict what comes next?
A black hole in space is, simply put, an object whose gravity is so extreme that it collapses inward. If something like that could be produced “on a tabletop,” then it is easy to understand why people imagine that CERN’s particles are being exposed to almost unimaginable force.
The late physicist Stephen Hawking is often cited in these discussions. He warned that certain developments related to Higgs boson research could, in theory, trigger a scenario involving the collapse of spacetime. Whether that warning applies to CERN’s actual experiments is debated, but it has become a key piece of the darker CERN legend.
The Singularity at the Center of a Black Hole
The center of a black hole is called a singularity: a place so extreme that even time and light cannot escape. It is a realm beyond ordinary understanding, where the normal rules of reality seem to break down.
In stories about black holes, even Einstein’s theory of relativity is said to reach its limit there.
Of course, no one has ever traveled into a singularity and returned to confirm what is inside. Because black holes bend time and space, some researchers and theorists have wondered whether they could function like wormholes—passages to another dimension.
Reports have described black holes swallowing stars, reinforcing the image of black holes as objects that pull everything toward them. According to one theory, the singularity at the center could be the mouth of a wormhole. Some even describe it as a path to another dimension, or a path to time travel.
At first, the idea sounds shocking. But when combined with theories of a multiverse or higher-dimensional space, it does not feel entirely out of place in speculative science.
That brings the focus back to CERN. If critics warn that particle collisions might create black holes, and CERN continues its experiments while understanding those fears, some conspiracy-minded observers ask whether creating a black hole is not an accident at all—but the point.
A Door in the Sky Above CERN?
There have also been claims of strange phenomena in the sky above CERN during experiments.
In July 2016, while the Large Hadron Collider was operating, stories circulated that the sky over CERN turned purple, dark clouds gathered, and eerie lightning appeared. Videos also spread online showing clouds swirling above the facility, filmed by members of the public.
These images led some viewers to ask whether they were seeing an entrance to another dimension. The swirling shape at the center certainly made the rumor more compelling.
According to accounts of the incident, CERN acknowledged that an experiment involving particles was underway, but stated that there was no problem. For believers in the portal theory, that answer only deepened the mystery.
The Passenger Plane Time-Warp Rumor
Another strange story linked to CERN is the so-called passenger plane time-warp theory.
According to the rumor, on November 1, 2009, a passenger aircraft from a Spanish airline, Flight A7-301, landed at an airport about 9,000 kilometers away from where it was supposed to arrive. The strangest part of the story is that when the plane began its landing approach, it was supposedly heading toward the correct airport—but after landing, it was found to be at a completely different one.
In other words, the claim says the aircraft moved about 9,000 kilometers during the short time between its approach and touchdown.
Under normal circumstances, a passenger plane cannot move that way, and there is no known precedent for such an event. So why would something like this happen?
The rumor claims that CERN was conducting a major undisclosed experiment at the time. It is said that particles were being accelerated far beyond the levels of previous tests. According to this theory, the experiment disturbed the magnetic field and opened a path for a kind of time warp.
Adding to the suspicion, the story points to the fact that CERN shut down the Large Hadron Collider the next day. The official explanation given in the rumor is that a bird dropped bread into an electrical system, causing a short circuit and prompting an inspection.
Because this was before the LHC’s official restart, the theory argues that CERN did not need to explain every detail. To skeptics, however, the lack of detail only made the whole episode seem more suspicious.
Final Thoughts
Taken together, these stories have led some people to believe that CERN may already have succeeded in some kind of warp experiment using the singularity of a black hole. CERN is also said to be planning further upgrades to the Large Hadron Collider, as well as an even larger and more advanced accelerator in the future.

。公開日：2019年10月28日 更新日：2020年2月27日 。CERN（セルン）とブラックホール。。まず、CERNの実験内容とブラックホールの関係について知っておきたい。CERNが運用している大型ハドロン衝突型加速器（LHC）は、地下175mにつくられた全周27㎞の円形の筒状のもの。その中に電磁場を作り、粒子を 光の速さの99.7％にまで加速 する。ほぼ光速になった粒子同士を正面衝突させて、壊し、その様子を観測する、というのがCERNの主な実験内容。
ヒッグス粒子もこの実験で発見されたのだそうだ。。そしてその実験こそがブラックホールを作ってしまうのではないか、と科学者により指摘されているのだ。。CERNに関する黒い噂・・・ ・悪魔崇拝？やばい実験を繰り返す「CERN」に関する5つのウワサ 。ブラックホールは危険？。。ではCERNの実験でブラックホールを作ると何がいけないのか？という点については現在、様々な説がある。「 小さいブラックホールはすぐに消えてしまうから問題ない 」という説、「 地球外の隕石を引き寄せてしまう 」説、「 地球を吸い込み圧縮してしまう 」説、など実に多種多様だ。
CERNは公式にブラックホールについて「理論上できない」とし、「できたとしてもすぐに消えてしまう」と回答しているものの、果たして誰も作ったことがないブラックホールのその先を予想することができるのだろうか？。宇宙空間にあるブラックホールは簡単に言えば重力がとてつもなく重く、内側に潰れてしまった天体であるが、それをいわば”テーブルの上”で作ってしまう可能性となると、CERNの実験では粒子に想像を絶する強大な力がかかっているのはお分かり頂けるだろう。
事実、物理学者のスティーブンホーキング博士は「 ヒッグス粒子の研究が進むと時空の崩壊というシナリオの引き金になる 」と 警告 している。。画像引用元： スティーブン・ホーキング 。ブラックホールの特異点。。ブラックホールの中心は”特異点”と呼ばれ、時間も光でさえも脱出することができない、理解の及ばない空間だ。我々の知る常識、通常のルールは一切通用しない。。あのアインシュタインの相対性理論さえ適応されないのだ。。ブラックホールの特異点について、当然だが誰も足を運んで確認した者はいない。
時間も空間も捻じ曲げてしまうのだから何があってもおかしくない、というのが通説である。ブラックホールこそ、異次元へ繋がるワームホールになるのでは？と考える科学者がいることをご存知だろうか。。。ブラックホールが他の星を飲み込む様子が観測されたと先日発表があった通り、ブラックホールは全てのものを引き寄せる性質をもつ。その中心である特異点こそ、ワームホールだというのだ。。この特異点のワームホールこそ “異次元への道” タイムトラベルへの道”だと言う科学者もいるほど。
一瞬ぎょっとする説ではあるものの、多次元宇宙論などと組み合わせると何も変な説ではない。。そこで再度注目したいCERNの実験。CERNが「 ブラックホールを作って地球を破滅へと導いてしまうのでは？」という科学者の警告を無視し、危険性を当然理解していながらも粒子同士の衝突実験を行う理由、それこそが ブラックホール を作ることなのではないだろうか？。実験中の上空に開いた異次元への扉？。。実際に実験中にCERNの上空に不可解な現象が起こったこともある。
2016年7月、大型ハドロン衝突型加速器の稼働中、CERNの上空では空が紫色になり、暗雲がたちこめ不気味な雷が現れたという。ほかにもCERNの上空で雲が渦を巻いている動画などを市民が撮影し、動画が拡散したこともあった。。。これらが「 異次元への出入り口では？」と話題を呼んだのだ。たしかに中心に渦を巻いている姿はそうも見える。この実験中の不可解な現象について、CERNは公式に「微粒子を集める実験中のことだ」と認めていながらも「 問題はない 」としているが……。
旅客機のタイムワープ。。他にも実はCERNの実験が関係しているのでは？と言われる事件に 旅客機タイムワープ説 がある。2009年11月1日、スペインの航空会社の旅客機A7-301便が本来着陸する予定だった空港から約9000キロも離れた別の空港に着陸した。なんと機体が着陸態勢に入ったときには本来着陸予定だった空港だったが、着陸してみると別の空港だった、というのだから驚きだ。つまり、着陸態勢に入りそのまま空港に着陸するその間に約9000キロも移動したというわけだ。
。。普通に考えて飛行機はそのような動きはできないし、前例にもない。では一体なぜこういうことが起きてしまったのか？。実はその際にCERNは非公開の大実験を行っていた。。それまでの実験とはくらべものにならないほど、 粒子を加速させていた というのだ。。この実験により磁場が乱れ、タイムワープの道を作ってしまったのではないか？という疑惑がある。事実、この実験の翌日にCERNは大型ハドロン衝突型加速器を停止、「 鳥がパンを電気系統システムに落とし、漏電した 」として点検が行われたという。
この実験そのものは公式再稼働の前であるし、詳しく状況を説明しなくても良いのだが……。逆にあやしさを増してしまっている。。おわりに。。こういった事実を考えるとすでにCERNはブラックホールの特異点を利用した、なんらかのワープ実験をすでに成功させているのではないか？と考えるのが妥当だ。今後CERN（セルン）はさらなる実験のため、大型ハドロン衝突型加速器（LHC）のさらなるアップデート、さらに上位互換であるもっと大きな加速器を作る計画があるという。
