Okutama Lake Ropeway: A Quiet Abandoned Ruin on the Okutama Shuyu Road

The Trolley Problem: Is It Ever Right to Sacrifice One Person to Save Five?
目次

English Version

The Okutama Lake Ropeway is an abandoned site in Okutama, Nishitama District, Tokyo, along the Okutama Shuyu Road.

One reported strange experience describes the sound of machinery moving. When the person looked into a mirror, they saw what appeared to be a woman in white standing there.

That said, paranormal stories connected to this place do not seem to be especially common. It is often regarded less as a major haunted spot and more as a straightforward abandoned ruin with an eerie atmosphere.

If you visit the Okutama area, enjoy it safely from public roads and accessible areas. Do not enter restricted or unstable structures.
