Daidohira Pond, located inside Aichi Forest Park, is rumored to be haunted by the spirit of a woman.
According to local stories, a woman is said to have once thrown herself into a pond in the park. Since then, people have claimed to see a woman standing in front of the water, soaked from head to toe.
Another rumor says that if you pass by the pond at night, someone may suddenly grab your shoulder. When you turn to look, no one is there—but your shoulder is wet.
There is also said to be a public phone near the pond where the ghost of a woman holding a child has been seen.
The area is associated with Aichi Forest Park in Arai, Owariasahi City, Aichi Prefecture, near Prefectural Route 75. If you visit, go during safe public hours, follow park rules, and avoid wandering around the pond or isolated areas at night.
