A 2 A.M. rumor
There is a rumor that if you visit this site at 2:00 a.m., you may see a spirit.
The story is connected to a short-lived military light railway built near the end of World War II. From the autumn of 1944 to Japan’s surrender in 1945—less than a year in total—the railway was reportedly used to transport engine blocks made at the Nakajima Aircraft Metals factory to the Nakajima Aircraft Company’s Musashi Plant.
The location associated with the rumor is around Yanagisawa 6-chome, Nishitokyo City, Tokyo, near the address listed as 6-11 to 6-18.
If you go looking for wartime railway traces in this area, stick to public roads and open spaces, respect nearby residents, and do not enter tunnels, restricted areas, or private property. Late-night visits can also disturb the neighborhood, so approach the legend with caution.
