English Version
Saga Prefectural Forest Park in Saga City is known as a public green space, but local rumors also connect it to a darker history.
Near the tennis court parking lot, there is said to be a memorial mound called Senninzuka, built to console the spirits of people who were executed. According to local stories, photos taken around this area sometimes show ghostly figures or mysterious orbs.
Another rumor says that the spirit of a woman appears near the observation deck.
The area is said to have been used as the Kase execution ground from the Edo period through the Meiji period, though visitors should treat these stories as local legends rather than confirmed supernatural facts.
Location: 1897 Tokuman, Kubota-cho, Saga City, Saga Prefecture.
If you visit, remember that this is a real public park. Be respectful around memorial sites, avoid restricted areas, and take care if exploring after dark.
