English Version
Aisaka Tunnel is a rumored haunted spot in Kodera, Kanzaki District, Hyogo Prefecture.
According to local stories, cars sometimes stall while passing through the tunnel. When that happens, a woman with a horribly burned face is said to appear directly in front of the driver.
Another common rumor says that after a car passes through the tunnel, handprints may appear on the windshield, as if someone had pressed against the glass from the outside.
The tunnel is also associated with darker stories, including rumors of bodies being abandoned there and a series of suicides in the area. As with many haunted-location legends, these accounts should be treated as local rumors rather than confirmed facts.
If you visit, do so safely and respectfully: stay on public roads, do not stop in dangerous areas, and never enter restricted property.
