English Version

Hotel Hamayama is an abandoned hotel in Naramoto, Higashi-Izu, Shizuoka Prefecture, known among ruin enthusiasts for its striking, atmospheric appearance.

According to local rumors, people who pass through the lobby may suddenly find themselves unable to move, as if caught in sleep paralysis. There are also stories that photos taken in the lobby sometimes show strange figures, including a monk wearing a traditional straw hat or the spirits of former employees.

Compared with some other haunted locations, there are relatively few detailed firsthand accounts connected to Hotel Hamayama. Still, even before the hotel closed, it was said that some guests experienced unsettling phenomena during their stay, including sleep paralysis and other unexplained encounters.

The location is generally listed as 1247-56 Naramoto, Higashi-Izu, Kamo District, Shizuoka Prefecture. As this is an abandoned property, do not enter without permission. Old buildings can be structurally dangerous, and travelers should respect local laws, barriers, and nearby residents.
