Tega-no-Oka Park: Rumors of Wandering Shadows in Kashiwa, Chiba

COVID-19 Variants in Japan: Will Vaccines Still Work?

English Version

Tega-no-Oka Park in Kashiwa, Chiba, is sometimes mentioned in local ghost stories for sightings of wandering shadows and strange, light-like shapes.

According to rumor, people playing on the athletic playground equipment have felt something grab their feet. Another story says that, long ago, a child died in an accident while playing on the equipment. There are also claims that suicides have occurred somewhere in the park.

None of these stories should be treated as confirmed facts, but they have helped give the park a quiet, uneasy reputation among those interested in haunted places.

The park is located around Katayama 275, Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture. If you visit, go during open hours, stay on public paths, and avoid entering restricted or unsafe areas—especially around playground equipment or wooded sections after dark.
