Tokozan Park, located in Kamisababuchi, Izumi City, Kagoshima Prefecture, has been mentioned in local ghost-story circles as a place with several unsettling reports.
Visitors have allegedly seen the shadow of someone who should not have been there. Others claim there was a man letting out strange screams while running around at incredible speed. There is also a story of someone encountering a fallen samurai and then being struck by sleep paralysis.
The park is reportedly associated with a past hanging suicide, and some rumors say there may have been multiple suicides there. Because of that, some people believe the lingering resentment of those who died may still appear in the area. As for the fallen samurai, however, the details are unclear.
It is also said that people avoid the park even during the day. If you visit, treat it as a real public place: stay in permitted areas, follow local rules, and avoid unsafe or isolated spots, especially at night.
