The case behind the rumor dates back to 1973. A university professor allegedly killed a female student with whom he was having an affair, and her body was reportedly buried in what is now associated with Yarimizu Park.

Afterward, the professor said to have committed a forced family suicide together with his wife and child.

Yarimizu Park is located around 2-chome, Yarimizu, Hachioji City, Tokyo. If you visit, remember that it is a real public place used by local residents. Go during appropriate hours, follow posted rules, and do not enter restricted areas or disturb the neighborhood.
