Kuromori Pass: Accident Ghost Rumors on a Winding Akita Mountain Road

English Version

Kuromori Pass is said to be haunted by the spirits of people who died in traffic accidents.

The pass includes a road with sharp hairpin curves, and accidents are said to have occurred there often. Because of that history, rumors have spread that figures connected to those crashes may appear along the route.

The location is in Rokugo-Higashine, Misato Town, Senboku District, Akita Prefecture.

If you visit the area, treat it as a real mountain road rather than just a haunted spot. Drive carefully, avoid stopping in dangerous places, and do not enter restricted or private areas.
