Cape Nyudozaki: Ghost Rumors and UFO Sightings on Akita’s Coast

Were We All Aliens? How to Explore Your Starseed Origins

English Version

Cape Nyudozaki in Oga, Akita, is a scenic coastal area known for its dramatic cliffs—but it has also picked up a darker reputation.

Rumors began to spread that the spirits of people who died by suicide appeared here, and the cape quickly became known as a haunted spot. It is also said to be famous as a place for UFO sightings, adding another strange layer to its local reputation.

The area is often described as a well-known suicide spot, possibly because the cliffs are about 30 meters (roughly 98 feet) high and extremely dangerous.

Location: Konbuura, Kitaura Nyudozaki, Oga City, Akita Prefecture.

If you visit, treat the area as a real coastal cliff, not just a horror destination. Stay on marked paths, keep away from the edge, avoid going at night or in bad weather, and do not enter restricted areas.
