The North Breakwater Dome is a real landmark in Wakkanai, Hokkaido, located around Kaiun 1-2-2.
According to local rumor, the area is said to be haunted by the spirits of children. One version of the story claims that many children died here long ago, and that human bones were buried beneath the site. Because of this, some people say the ghosts of children can still be felt around the dome.
These stories remain local legends and rumors rather than confirmed history. If you visit, treat the area as a public place, follow posted rules, and avoid unsafe behavior, especially at night or near the waterfront.
