Shin-Noboribetsu Bridge is said to be known locally as a suicide spot. Located in Noboribetsu, Hokkaido, along Hokkaido Route 782, it is often described as one of the tallest bridges in the region.
According to one person who visited the bridge while sightseeing, they suddenly felt an overwhelming urge to look down from the edge. The moment they leaned out, they felt as if something might pull them in.
Some say the lingering emotions of those who have died there may be calling out to others, tempting new victims to jump. It is only a rumor, but it gives the bridge a grim reputation among fans of haunted places in Hokkaido.
If you visit, treat the location as a real roadway and a place associated with tragedy. Do not climb barriers, lean over the edge, stop dangerously, or trespass. Stay on permitted paths and prioritize safety and respect.
