A pink abandoned love hotel in Hiranai, Higashitsugaru District, Aomori Prefecture, is said to be the site of repeated ghost sightings.
According to local rumors, the spirit of a woman has been seen more than once in the second-floor hallway. The details of who she may have been, or what happened there, remain unclear.
Near the hotel is a stretch of road known as the “Devil’s Curve,” an accident-prone spot marked by a large warning sign. Beneath it stands a Kannon statue, placed there as a memorial or offering for the dead.
People who claim to have experienced accidents on the curve say that their steering suddenly stopped responding. Even when they hit the brakes, they say, the car only continued to pick up speed.
Some wonder whether the spirit of a woman who met an unfortunate end at the love hotel is calling drivers toward the curve. It is only a rumor, but the combination of the abandoned pink hotel, the second-floor apparitions, and the nearby accident site has made Hotel Endless 2 one of the area’s unsettling local legends.
