Former Kakuda Girls’ High School: A Haunted Martial Arts Hall in Miyagi

Were High Heels Invented to Avoid Filth? The Dirty Medieval Europe Theory
目次

English Version

Local rumors about the former Kakuda Girls’ High School in Miyagi Prefecture center on its martial arts hall.

According to these accounts, there were repeated incidents in which people felt as if a spirit had grabbed their legs inside the hall. The details are unclear, and the story remains more of a local rumor than a documented case.

After the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, the same martial arts hall was reportedly used as a temporary place to hold the bodies of the deceased.

Reported location: 250 Nakajimakami, Kakuda, Kakuda City, Miyagi Prefecture.

If you visit the area, do not enter restricted or private property, and be especially respectful of any sites connected to disaster victims or local memorials.
