While riding a motorcycle at dusk, the witness says they once saw a woman standing in a cemetery halfway up the mountain.
There were no cars or other vehicles nearby, and the place was deep enough in the mountains that it would have been difficult to reach on foot. Seeing a woman standing there alone in such a remote spot felt deeply strange.
Akai-dake has long been regarded as a sacred mountain, and near the cemetery there is also an abandoned restaurant. That place, too, is often associated with reported ghost sightings.
The reported location is in the area of Taira Akai, Akaidake, Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture. If you visit the area, do so only from public roads or permitted areas, and avoid entering abandoned buildings or private property.
