Ryuo Tunnel is said to have a strange, chilling atmosphere. Some people claim that, while inside or near the tunnel, they suddenly feel as if someone is pressing down on them from above.
In the past, this was a place with regular foot traffic. Today, however, it is described as abandoned, and stories of attacks in the area began to circulate along with its decline.
According to local rumors, women were sexually assaulted here more than once. Because of that, some say the tunnel may be a place where resentment and fear have accumulated over time.
Ryuo Tunnel is associated with the Yomase area of Yamanouchi, Shimotakai District, Nagano Prefecture. Since it is described as an abandoned site with a history of assaults, travelers should not enter restricted or unsafe areas, and should avoid visiting alone or at night.
