The Atomic Bomb Dome in Hiroshima is sometimes said to be a place where strange phenomena occur, including reports of ghostly images appearing in photographs.
Some people who consider themselves spiritually sensitive also claim to feel an unnatural sense of discomfort here, as if something not of this world still lingers in the area.
According to rumor, the deep sorrow and regret of those who suffered in the atomic bombing may have remained at this site as a powerful spiritual presence. Whether or not one believes these stories, this is not a place to visit as a joke or for casual thrills.
If you go, treat the area with silence and respect. Follow all posted rules, stay in public areas, and remember that this is first and foremost a memorial site.
