English Version
Tokyo Tower is one of Tokyo’s most famous landmarks, but it also has a few ghost stories attached to it.
Some people say they have seen the spirit of a young girl dressed in white, while another rumor tells of a female ghost running down the emergency stairs. There is also a story that if you take a photo with Tokyo Tower behind you, something ghostly may appear in the image.
One reason these rumors may have spread is that Tokyo Tower is said to have been built on land that was once a cemetery. Another theory claims that one-third of the steel used in the tower came from tank armor used during the Korean War.
Tokyo Tower is located at 4-7 Shibakoen, Minato City, Tokyo. It is a major public tourist destination, so visitors should stick to open areas, follow posted rules, and avoid entering restricted stairways or staff-only spaces.
