Behind Ehime Prefectural Matsuyama Technical High School in Matsuyama, Ehime, there is said to be a phone booth with a quiet but unsettling local rumor attached to it.
According to the story, if you shine your car’s high beams onto the phone booth late at night, the figure of a woman’s ghost will appear. Some also claim that groaning sounds can be heard through the receiver.
There is also a rumor that a female student from a nearby university was murdered in the area, though details are unclear and should be treated as local hearsay rather than confirmed fact.

If you visit, remember that this is near an active school and local neighborhood. Do not enter school property, disturb residents or students, block traffic, or behave recklessly at night.
